No. The soft 2.5 mm silicone contact pads are designed for coated pans and cooling racks. Q: Are these tongs safe near a flame? A: They withstand oven and food temperatures up to 230 C, but the silicone heads should not be left against a naked flame or heating element. Q: How do I clean the hinge area?
